First pizzeria in Isère
Lydia and Pascal opened their first pizzeria after Pascal trained with a world and French pizza champion.
Lydia and Pascal have been in hospitality and pizza-making since 2004. After running several businesses in Isère, they opened La Gioia in Les Issambres in 2025 with two of their daughters.
Lydia, Pascal e l'Italia
Lydia has Italian roots. Pascal has always loved Italian culture and Italian cooking. Together, they share a taste for good products, generous tables and pizzas that bring people together.
In 2004, they decided to make a change and open their own place: their first pizzeria in Isère. Pascal trained with a world and French champion, and the adventure continued with several businesses in the region.
Always learning
Since the beginning, Lydia and Pascal have kept training regularly to stay current. Pizza evolves, skills become more precise, and they continue to learn.
They also take part in competitions on a regular basis. Pascal remains in the top 100 at the world championship, a very strong achievement for French pizza makers.
La Gioia, 2025
For 20 years, Lydia and Pascal have been coming to Les Issambres, where they have their holiday home. In 2025, they took the leap and opened La Gioia with two of their daughters. Their third daughter stayed in Isère.
Their daughters have always been part of their parents' pizzerias. As they grew up, they worked there to earn pocket money. Today, they are proud to be part of the adventure, they believe deeply in what their parents have created, and they want to help it grow.
